A Case of Cystic Meningioma

Abstract

|
A 41 year-old female was admitted to our hospital with the histoy of severe headache, vomiting and mild attack of Jacksonian seizure in the left upper extremity for one month
On operation, an adult fist-sized tumor with a large cyst were removed totally from the right frontal lobe. The tumor seemed to be arisen from the anterior portion of the falx.
Histologically the tumor was transitional tyDDe of meningioma associated with microcysts.
The incidence, clinical course and pathogenesis of the cystic change in meningioma were discussed with previously reported literatures.
